Marketing and Research Manager Positions

As a growing for-profit, “impact investing” RIA, Midwest Asset is seeking staff/future owners to capitalize on the enormous financial and non-financial opportunities for investors in the inefficient $200 trillion global public securities market.  For example, it has more than $1 trillion in annual needless expenses, which are not sustainable in a free economy.

The backbone of the company is to minimize the three major obstacles to investment success: persistent subjectivity; egregious annual fees; and regulations favoring the largest firms.  Historically, the distinct active and passive products had outstanding, independently verified ten-year rolling period return/risk performances until funding was lost.  Currently, please note:

  • External and internal research shows that the positive portfolios factors implemented are essentially timeless;
  • The products and services are almost unique and highly scalable;
  • There has never been a complaint or regulatory action.

Both positions may depend on the firm closing one or more large mandates and/or securing additional funding over the next three to six months.  Meaningful ownership can be included in the compensation package.  The candidates will be competent, industrious, and always place the interest of clients first.

Marketing Manager Responsibilities

A seasoned professional is needed to build and implement the comprehensive domestic and eventual international marketing processes to close institutional and high net worth (including trusts and estates) prospects.  In addition, to capture the younger generation a separate marketing strategy is being developed for portfolios with just $200,000.

The second responsibility will be to hire and develop a sales staff.

Preferred Qualifications

MBA specializing in marketing and finance, ten years traditional and digital marketing experience.  International exposure and CFA are also helpful.

Research Manager Responsibilities

A seasoned professional is needed to help to maintain and implement enhancements to its U.S. large, medium, and small-cap active QuantValSM, quantitative value, equity institutional portfolios.  The combined portfolios cover the $25 trillion segment (1/8 of the global public securities) and expansion into the $25 trillion international segment may be involved.

Second responsibility involves passive research in the high net worth (including trust and estate) segment.

Preferred Qualifications

MBA specializing in Finance and Accounting, ten years’ experience building equity and fixed models and implementing portfolios.  International exposure and CPA or CFA are also helpful.

Summary

A base salary, healthcare insurance, and a solid understanding of entrepreneurship and the opportunities are needed.

For those seeking a challenging and rewarding (financial and non-financial) career please submit a resume and optional cover letter to James.Byrd@quantmanagement.com.  Please do not call.
